Terms of Participation

antcpu Human in the Loop Challenge ยท August 2026 Cohort ยท Effective August 1, 2026
These terms exist to protect challengers and maintain the integrity of the program. Read them. They are short, plain, and mean exactly what they say.

1. What This Program Is

The antcpu Human in the Loop Challenge is a 31-day unpaid internship challenge open to global applicants. It runs from August 1 to August 31, 2026. The application process itself is the internship โ€” challengers demonstrate skills by doing real work, not by writing about it.

Top performers are selected for the Human in the Loop Internship running September to December 2026. All participants are welcomed into the antcpu Builders Network regardless of selection outcome.

2. Eligibility

  • Open to all applicants globally. No location requirements.
  • No minimum age requirement, but participants under 18 should have parental awareness of their participation.
  • No prior experience required. Curiosity, consistency, and communication matter more.
  • One registration per person. Duplicate accounts will be removed.

3. Commitment and Expectations

  • The challenge requires approximately 5 hours per week. This is a real commitment โ€” not a passive experience.
  • Challengers are expected to complete weekly tasks, engage with the community, and submit real work.
  • AI tools are encouraged and expected as part of the workflow. Using AI well is a core skill being evaluated.
  • Challengers who fall behind are encouraged to communicate. Life happens โ€” disappearing without a word is the only real disqualifier.
Disappearing without communication is the only action that permanently disqualifies a challenger. If you struggle, tell us. We will work with you.

4. Unpaid Nature of the Program

The challenge and the internship are unpaid. Challengers receive real portfolio work, verifiable role titles, community membership, references at 55%+ progress, and priority consideration for future paid roles at antcpu.

No financial compensation is offered or implied at any stage of the August 2026 cohort. Future cohorts may have different terms.

5. Work Ownership

  • Challengers retain ownership of all original work they create during the program.
  • By submitting work to the challenge, challengers grant antcpu a non-exclusive licence to display that work publicly in the Showcase, leaderboard, and promotional materials.
  • Work submitted to antcpu.cloud as pull requests is subject to the open-source licence of that repository.
  • antcpu will always credit challengers by name for featured work.

6. Data and Privacy

  • Registration data (name, email, country, track, background) is stored locally in your browser via localStorage and is not transmitted to external servers during the challenge.
  • Public profile information (name, track, progress, submitted work) is visible to other challengers and the public via the leaderboard and showcase.
  • Internal scoring, admin notes, and selection flags are never visible to challengers.
  • antcpu does not sell or share personal data with third parties.
  • To request removal of your data, contact antcpu@gmail.com.

7. Selection Process

Selection for the Human in the Loop Internship is made by the antcpu team on August 31, 2026. Decisions are based on progress percentage, internal scoring across seven dimensions, and the overall quality of work submitted across all four weeks.

Selection decisions are final. The antcpu team is not obligated to provide individual feedback on selection outcomes, though we will always try to be helpful.

All challengers who participate in good faith are welcomed into the antcpu Builders Network on September 1, 2026.

8. Conduct

Challengers are expected to behave with integrity at all times. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Submitting original work or clearly attributing AI-assisted work.
  • Giving honest, constructive peer feedback โ€” not gaming the system.
  • Treating all challengers with respect regardless of background, country, or experience level.
  • Not creating multiple accounts or manipulating progress metrics.

Violations may result in removal from the program at the antcpu team's discretion.

9. Program Changes

antcpu reserves the right to modify challenge tasks, timelines, and program structure during the August 2026 cohort. Any significant changes will be communicated to all registered challengers via the community feed and dashboard.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms or the program can be directed to antcpu@gmail.com. After August 1, questions can also be posted in the community feed.
